DescriptionThe input for the sound sensor module is generated by the microphone, which consists of a small diaphragm that is one plate of a capacitor. The capacitor’s second plate is the back plate, which runs parallel to the diaphragm. The fundamental design of the microphone is depicted in the diagram below. When a person speaks into a microphone, the diaphragm is struck by the sound waves produced by the voice. The diaphragm vibrates as a result of the hits, causing the distance between the capacitor’s two plates to shorten or widen (see illustration on the left). Sound waves affect the voltage across the plates, which has a direct influence on the KY-038 sound sensor module’s circuit since capacitance is directly proportionate to the distance between the plates.APPLICATIONConsumer electronics such as phones, computers, music systemsSecurity and Monitoring systems such as burglar alarms, door alarms, etc.Home automation such as lighting your house by detecting whistles/claps instead of physically turning the light switchAmbient sound recognition and sound level recognitionPINOUT : 5VA0: Analog PinD0: Digital PinG: GroundSPECIFICATIONSOperation Voltage: 3.3V – 5VFrequency Response: 50 Hz – 20 kHzImpedance: 2.2 kΩSensitivity: 48 – 66 dB\DOCUMENTTutorialSHIPPING LIST1 x KY-038 Microphone Sound Amplifier Sensor Module
